house

Come and stay in our elegant Georgian home built by John Wood the younger in 1765, ideally situated in the loveliest part of Bath between the Circus and Royal Crescent. We are just a gentle walk from the centre of this beautiful Heritage City where old meets new in an eclectic mix of shops and architectural splendour, with the Abbey and Roman Baths jostling for your attention with the New Thermae Bath Spa.

We aim to offer you comfort and personal attention. We will gladly help you plan your stay in Bath, giving guidance with visits, tours and routes.

Our rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable, we have full central heating, so can assure you of warmth and comfort whatever season your visit

Bath is one of only three United Nations World Heritage Cities, and its history stretches back to the Bronze Age. The hot mineral springs are reputed to have been discovered in 500 BC and later the Romans built a magnificent town called Aqua Sulis. The city later came under Saxon Rule and in 973 AD, Edgar the first King of England was crowned on the site where the Abbey now stands.

The city that we see today was created in the 18th Century by the Georgians who built the crescents, squares and parades from the beautiful golden "Bath Stone" quarried from the surrounding hills.
